Together, we listen attentively to Christ’s call.
We do this so God’s Holy Spirit empowers us to educate dynamically, fellowship wholesomely, steward actively, shepherd lovingly, witness faithfully, and worship responsively.
Our story
This congregation began establishing deep spiritual roots in 1760. This rich heritage runs deep into the Anabaptist stream of faith. Our foundations emphasize Christ’s teachings of love, discipleship, and non-violence.
With that being said, our congregation includes new believers, truth-seekers, and those with backgrounds in other faith traditions. We desire to grow the Kingdom of God through community outreach and global missions. From children to adults, we seek to train and prepare individuals to live the story of Jesus in word and deed.
Our Guiding Values
-
Joyfully following Jesus.
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
Matthew 16:24
-
Generously extending grace.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23
-
Creatively impacting culture.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Romans 12:2
Confession of Faith
This is how we understand our commitment to following the way of Jesus Christ.
Following Jesus in daily life is a central value.
We believe that it is possible to follow Jesus as Lord above nationalism, racism or materialism.
We believe that it is possible to follow Jesus as a peacemaker. We believe that we can practice the way of Jesus’ reconciling love in human conflicts and warfare, without having to strike out in fear to defend ourselves.
We believe that we can live life simply and in service to others as a witness to God’s love for the world.
